About Wormhole
Wormhole CMS began life on November 18th, 2007 as an idea. Tsykoduk and I have wanted a CMS that fit in with our ideas, but over the years, and a number of different CMS’s later, we have decided to “just do it” ourselves.
There have been a lot of great ideas and promises, but in the end none of them seem to come through. Now that Tsykoduk is coming up to full-speed programming in Ruby on Rails, we decided that we would give this a shot.
As we got into the design phase of Wormhole we looked at other projects, what they had to offer, and what they had done so far. In this process we found that Radiant CMS was a great start and might possibly be a platform for us to join and and help out with, or springboard from if needed.
So far Wormhole is very young as far as CMS’s go, but the experience we’re starting with is from multiple years of using various other CMS projects. It is with this knowledge that we are trying to piece together a truly robust and configurable CMS.
We should have a basic forum online soon so that you can all participate in the obvious question and answer session that is bound to come up with any project such as this.
Stay tuned…
